  8. Add the ground meat, and fry until it becomes crumbly.
  9. Season with the ketchup, consommé, and sugar. Now your meat is ready, too.
  10. Put 1/2 of the mashed potatoes into a gratin dish and flatten the surface.
  11. Spread out the seasoned ground meat from Step 9 on top.
  12. Spread out the remaining mashed potatoes.
  13. Top with plenty of cheese.
  14. Bake in the oven until the cheese is browned, and done.
