The ingredients needed to make Amish Roast:
  1. Take 2 1/2 beef roast (round or sirloin)
  2. Take 1 lb carrrots peeled & cut into thirds
  3. Get 1 large onion peeled & quartered
  4. Take 7 potatoes, peeled & quartered
  5. Get 2 tbsp Dijon mustarrd
  6. Take 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  7. Take 1 tsp marjoram

  11. Take 1 cup water
Steps to make Amish Roast:
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Rinse the roast and pat dry. In a large roasting pan or Dutch oven, combine carrots, onion, & potatoes.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the mustard, Worcestershire, marjoram & potatoes allspice.
  4. Rub the paste all over the roast and place on top of the carrots, onion and potatoes.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Pour the water in the bottom of the pan. Cover and cook for at 350 for 1 hour. Reduce the heat to 200 and cook for another 3-4 hours.
  6. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
